So tonight I’m dining at Brand inside the Monte Carlo hotel with the homegirl’s family….you know how it is when you don’t really know everyone, i decided to make friends with this woman sitting at my end of the table.
Her name was Beth and upon me asking where she’s from, she ended up telling me…

This pretty young girl wasn’t famous, but 10 year old Jasmine McCain is still relevant to the remembrance of the forgotten stars. She may not be known to us from a Disney show or a teen pop group, but I want to feature her.
Jasmine hung herself in her bedroom because she couldn’t handle another day of being bullied at school. Students admitted that she was bullied extremely badly because of the clothes and shoes she wore - her family couldn’t afford name brand clothes.
Makes me so sad!

‘melting men’ installation by Nele Azevedo
Brazilian Artist Nele Azevado carved 1,000 figures out of ice on the steps of Berlin’s Gendarmenmarkt Square. It was made to raise awareness about the rising sea-levels due to to melting ice.
